Assist the Engineering staff at the Nissan Canton facility as required. Take responsibility on projects directed by Canton Engineering involving a variety of service, repair, installation and reporting tasks to support production. Job Responsibilities include:
Project management and coordination, active support of engineering in the design, development, installation and upgrade of new controls equipment and controls systems, Working knowledge of GE Digital Cimplicity, Proficient understanding of PLC programming and implementation, Monitoring and analysis of controls systems, including the troubleshooting and modification of Ladder Logic skilled in fabrication and installation of controls/electrical system hardware, and network management knowledge
- Accessing and modifying various Canton site databases
- Performing Back-ups of production and non-production systems
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, and/or technical manuals
- Notify Site Supervisor of needs and concerns

Education and/or Experience
- Two year college or university program certificate; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees or experience could include computer, electronics, industrial studies and / or engineering.
- Ability to read and write, analyze and interpret daily logs, tech tips and procedure manuals
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, co-workers, supervisors and management

- Maintain and repair Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV) and associated electronic, computer and mechanical equipment through use of standard preventive maintenance practices and proper use of industry standard test equipment.
- Ability to repair and maintain electrical equipment according to specifications and instructions as well as ability to read diagrams, sketches, advanced blueprints and operation manuals.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace as needed printed circuit boards and electronic components
- Clear collisions and back-up problems of the system, and troubleshoot and correct vehicle and system errors.
Requirements:
- Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in the maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of basic electricity and electronics
- Ability to read and understand schematics and ladder relay logic
- Understand design techniques in digital electronics
- Perform numerical operations
